// financial operating system

the smallest unit of financial truth

QUANTA

Stop watching your money. Start operating it.

Dashboards show what happened. Quanta engineers what happens next. A complete financial operating system covering income, expenses, obligations, tax, retirement, and trading for operators whose money outgrew their app.

Choose a seeded operator mode after starting trial. No Plaid required.

Planning and operating software. No tax filing, no brokerage execution, no automatic money movement.

// the pitch

Built for the other people.

Most personal finance apps are read-only. Pretty dashboards on top of bank data, designed for people whose finances fit in a spreadsheet.

Quanta is built for physicians with five income streams, founders carrying double-digit loan portfolios, partners juggling K-1s, brokerage P&L, depreciation schedules, NOL carryforwards, and a major tax event last month.

Quanta is the cockpit you would build for yourself if you had three engineers and a year. We built it. You can use it tomorrow.

// what's inside

Eight workspaces, one source of financial truth.

01 / Plaid-native aggregation

Live balances across banking, credit, brokerage, and lending.

35+ loan types, multi-tenant, zero data entry past onboarding.

02 / Income engineering

Model W-2, 1099, K-1, stipends, bonuses, retention, and one-time events as discrete streams.

See variable comp shaped, not flattened.

03 / Cascading debt optimization

Budget-aware payoff plans with break-even months, interest saved, and liquidity constraints.

As obligations clear, freed cash flow rolls into the next highest-priority use.

04 / Tax workspace

W-2, Schedule C, 4797 trading, deductions, NOL carryforward, and multi-year projection.

Authority-tagged, error-flagged, projection-mode-aware.

05 / Trading journal

Schwab API integration with deposit and withdrawal awareness.

Sharpe, Sortino, Calmar, TWR, IRR, drawdown, and product-level fee schedules.

06 / Retirement engine

401(k), IRA, Roth, and after-tax buckets modeled with IRS limits and phaseouts.

Projects to retirement age with inflation-adjusted real-dollar outcomes.

07 / Monthly close workflow

Variance analysis, owner review queues, locked snapshots, and roll-forward to next period.

Accounting discipline applied to personal finance.

08 / Command-line interface

Optimize loans, project tax years, and close months without opening a browser.

The CLI is a first-class surface, not an afterthought.

// who it's for

Sized for financial complexity, not net worth.

The user we serve has at least three of these conditions. We do not try to serve people whose finances still fit a basic tracker. Use the tool that matches the work.

Variable or multi-stream income
Multiple active obligations across more than one institution
Trading or investment activity beyond a single brokerage
Quarterly tax estimates or NOL carryforwards
Real estate, business interests, or pass-through entities
A spouse with their own income or loan complexity

// what people use it for

A high-income household with moving parts

Coordinating income streams, recurring obligations, tax accruals, retirement contributions, and liquidity targets without maintaining five parallel spreadsheets.

A trading-active 1099 contractor

Running Schwab executions, MTM election support, NOL carryforwards, Schedule C deductions, and 4797 workpapers from one source of truth.

A founder with K-1 distributions

Managing personal and business cash flow, quarterly estimated payments, and month-close reconciliation without rebuilding the model every quarter.

// demo before imports

See the system before connecting accounts.

Start with a seeded Personal, Tax, or Trader backend. Demo mode is read-only, synthetic, and blocks Plaid/Schwab imports until an enabled account is created.

Income modeled

W-2, 1099, bonus, and consulting streams seeded.

Tax projected

Quarterly estimates and safe-harbor state visible.

Debt cascaded

Loan payoff sequence and freed cash flow preloaded.

Cash flow closed

Six months of operating history included.

Trading routed

Execution analytics and 4797 route ready.

Demo contains synthetic data. It is for product evaluation only.

// why now

Consumer finance complexity outpaced consumer finance apps.

Plaid liabilities reached coverage that matters.

Balances and lender data are finally useful enough for serious loan operations. Remaining gaps take minutes, not hours.

AI tooling changed the build curve.

This product needed a 12-person team in 2019. In 2026, a small team can build software at operating-system depth.

The spreadsheet market is not small.

Monarch and Copilot serve the median household. Quanta serves the household with eight loans, two businesses, and an active brokerage account.

// convictions

Numbers are not decorations.

Every figure in Quanta is a quantum: discrete, precise, and traceable to its source. We do not celebrate. We compute.

Read-only is half the product.

Run a payoff plan, lock a month, project a tax year, or optimize a contribution mix without leaving for a spreadsheet.

Sophistication is a feature.

We surface NOL carryforwards, compute TWR and IRR separately, and label projections when they rely on prior-year rules.

The CLI is a first-class surface.

Power users get a real terminal interface for the same operations available in the GUI.

// getting started in under 10 minutes

Connect. Configure. Set goals. Close the month.

01

Connect banking, credit, brokerage, and most lenders through Plaid.

02

Configure W-2, 1099, bonuses, K-1, and retention income streams.

03

Set goals for liquidity, retirement age, savings rate, tax planning, and obligation payoff.

04

Review variances, lock the period, and roll forward your first month-close.

// built for trust

Security and data controls you can verify.

Quanta keeps the trust surface narrow and concrete: external credentials stay with Plaid, sessions use hardened cookies, passwords are hashed, access tiers are enforced server-side, and demo mode blocks imports.

Bank credential collection is handled by Plaid; Quanta never asks for bank passwords.
Production session cookies are HTTP-only, Secure, and SameSite=Lax.
Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes.
Access tiers gate Personal, Tax, and Trader workspaces server-side.
Demo sessions are read-only and block Plaid/Schwab imports.
Security questions route to security@quanta.app.

// calibrating the value

The product pays for itself when the complexity is real.
